Alyn Williams is delighted to be hosting what is now the third CHEFstock event at The Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, London. Following its success in previous years, this festival of fine-dining will see Alyn carry out a series of collaborative dinners with four internationally renowned, Michelin star chefs.
Every Tuesday throughout April, Alyn will team up with one of the four chefs to produce an eight course-tasting menu. The collaborative menu will be served to guests in the evening by restaurant manager Giancarlo Princigalli and his accomplished team. Guests have the option of pairing the dinner with matching wines.
Fraiche – Michelin 1*
Described as his ‘passion driven machine’ – Marc Wilkinson opened restaurant Fraiche in 2004. In 2009 the restaurant received a Michelin star, the first on the Merseyside, and continues to attract diners from across the UK with his use of bold and adventurous flavours. To enhance his contemporary cuisine, which is heavily inspired by nature, music will play an important part in Marc’s evening with Alyn, which he plans to tie in with individual dishes.
Northcote – Michelin 1*
As Northcote’s driving force for more than three decades, Nigel Haworth has retained a Michelin star for two of those and has put Langho, Blackburn on the map. Also the chef patron of pub group Ribble Valley Inns and now Northcote Cookery School, Nigel is an avid purveyor of using the best, seasonal produce Lancashire has to offer. Guests can expect prominent influences from the Northern counties as part of the tasting dishes he’ll be cooking at The Westbury.
Chef & Sommelier – Michelin 1*
As a passionate pioneer of ‘zero waste cooking’, chef Sasu Laukkonen of one Michelin starred Chef & Sommelier truly understands the importance of knowing the ingredients he’s working with inside out. With a cooking-style strongly centred around wild and organic produce, Sasu will bring a collection of lesser-known Finnish delicacies to London’s Mayfair.
Lake Garda, Italy
Lido 84 – Michelin 1*
Riccardo Camanini’s Ristorante Lido 84 – which he runs with brother Giancarlo and received one Michelin star just months after opening in 2014 – takes its inspiration from the luscious greenery and nature which surrounds the restaurant on the edge of Lake Garda. Constantly striving to provide diners with a full sensory experience, Riccardo is always experimenting with unusual and daring combinations.
