Musician Daniele Mana and the team of Motelombroso will create an incredible evening of food and music on the 31st of March.

Mana is Daniele Mana’s latest project which recently found its home in the legendary London-based Hyperdub.
His works feature unpredictable evolutions and a unique taste for melodies. He writes and produces for theatre, film and advertising alongside his artistic projects such as Vaghe Stelle, One Circle, an ensemble formed by Mana, Lorenzo Senni and Francesco Fantini, and his latest project, Mana, recently debuted with an album on the iconic Hyperdub.

His music is electronic that doesn’t always sound electronic; a great deal of his sound has been created to sound like prepared pianos, harpsichords, cellos and flutes. At other times, sampled acoustic instruments and specially recorded sessions have been processed through software and careful editing. It’s this sophisticated layering of contrasting versions of the same sources that helps give this record its uncanny balance. The album also plays with your sense of time in its mostly drum-free hall of mirrors, pulling from minimalism, chamber music, dark jazz, and synthesiser experiments.

Warm, and rich with earthy detail, defined by complex use of space and contrast, there is a depth of focus and detail to his tracks and Mana leaves the imagination of the listener to indulge in most of the time.

What does music mean to you?

It is my favorite language.

If your music was a film, which film would it be and why?

An episode of Seinfeld written during a bad mushroom trip. Full of amnesia and repetition. A distorted imitation of reality penned by someone who has never truly lived it. Never released in theaters—just locked away in the dusty basement of some producer.

And food? What does food mean to you, and which is your favorite?

For me, food is both fuel that keeps me going, allowing me to do everything I want without losing energy, and a sensual, emotional experience—just like any other form of art. My favourite cuisine is Japanese.

What do you love about Nicola’s cooking, Alessandra’s service, and Matteo’s wines? Why are they special to you?

I love the unpredictability of Nicola’s cuisine—the bold experimentation, the way he sometimes manages to simplify something incredibly complex.

Alessandra’s service is precise and attentive, yet always makes me feel at ease.

With Matteo, it’s his passion for wine that fascinates me. It’s not just about the wine itself, but the way he tells its story—the reflections on what lies behind it.

If the Gelinaz event you’re creating together was a film, which film would it be?

It could be directed by David Lynch—an unsettling slice of dreamlike reality, provocative and surreal. It leaves you with an unforgettable yet fragmented memory, a lingering sense that you’ve fully grasped it only on a subconscious level, while your brain refuses to process it entirely.

What should guests expect?

A one-of-a-kind experience—an immersive, uncompromising sensual bubble.
