My favourite is the flavour of warm milk. It has a comforting smell for me and it is my favorite scent. I mean the scent of rising warm milk, actually rather than the drink itself.
.
I think it comes from the memory of my childhood. You had warm milk at home too when you were a little child, didn’t you?
.

When I’m twitchy, nervous, restless, getting stuck and feeling sick, I always have an urge to have and sniff warm milk. I wrap the mug with my hands, sniff it, and drink it, and then my hands, mind, and body become warm after all. Then I can gradually relax and calm down and I can reset myself. I can feel relieved and calm.
.
This may be a bit like a ritual for me. In distress… I get milk, warm it, breathe, (sip) and I feel reassured.
On the other hand, I don’t usually drink cold milk and I don’t particularly like milk.
